The One champion wins again: TonyTheToenailcollector takes the Sunday Grand as habfer lands the CoinMillion

Two weeks after the $1,000,000 score, TonyTheToenailcollector won CoinPoker's $1,050 Sunday Grand for $74,432; the same weekend's $215 CoinMillion went to habfer for $114,480 from 3,655 players.

Winning The One for $1,000,000 would have been a reasonable point to stop for the month. TonyTheToenailcollector did not. On the weekend of October 25 to 27 the CoinPoker player won the $1,050 Sunday Grand for $74,432, beating quierotuvaro heads-up, who collected $53,388, Card Player reported on October 27.

It is the second CoinPoker title of the month for the screen name that took the site’s largest-ever first prize on October 12 or 13, when The One, a $250 buy-in with a $5,000,000 guarantee, paid its winner a guaranteed seven figures. Card Player also notes a $215 GOPC title for $42,000 in September. Three wins in roughly five weeks on one room is a run the ledger will keep an eye on; the desk does not know the player’s name or country, because CoinPoker publishes neither.

CoinMillion, the same weekend

The weekend’s bigger field was the $215 CoinMillion, the room’s weekly $1,000,000 guaranteed event. It drew 3,655 players, down from 4,891 the week before, and was won by habfer for $114,480. JeffBlockers finished second and LiQZeRO third for $55,000. No deal was struck at the final table, which after the previous week’s refused deal is becoming a feature of the event rather than an exception.

The runner-up’s prize was not in the report, so the record carries JeffBlockers in second place with the prize blank. That is how the desk handles a missing figure: the place is known and printed, the money is not and is left empty rather than inferred from the week before.

Reading the two fields together

The Sunday Grand at $1,050 and the CoinMillion at $215 sit five buy-in steps apart on the same Sunday schedule, and their first prizes, $74,432 and $114,480, are the wrong way round for the buy-ins. That is the arithmetic of guarantees: a $1,000,000 promise on a $215 event builds a bigger pool than a $1,050 event with no comparable guarantee can draw on a crypto room, and the top of the payout follows the pool. Card Player did not publish entries or pool for the Sunday Grand, and the record says so.

For the room, the weekend is the follow-through on The One. CoinPoker spent October converting the attention from a $1,000,000 headline into Sunday fields, and 3,655 at $215 is the number to measure that by. The week-on-week drop from 4,891 is noted on the ledger without a reading; one weekend is not a trend.

What is next on CoinPoker

The seat race for the High Stakes Poker final table closes on October 31, when eight weekly winners meet for the televised seat, per the room’s earlier announcements carried by PokerTube. It is not a results event in the ledger’s sense, so it will be reported if a payout or a named winner is published.

Both weekend records, the Sunday Grand and the October 25 CoinMillion, are on the ledger with Card Player as the source and the October 27 report date. Payouts on CoinPoker are denominated in USDT and shown here as published, in dollars.
