Reading the schedule: three kinds of online poker series

The board mixes three things the rooms call an online poker series. The festivals are the big ones: WCOOP and SCOOP on PokerStars, WSOP Online on GGPoker, the XL series on 888poker, each a few weeks long with a hundred-plus events and a Main Event at the end. The standing weeklies are a single tournament repeated every week under one name, with a running list of winners: GGMillion$, CoinMillion, the Sunday Grand. And the one-off specials, like CoinPoker's The One, are built around a single guaranteed number, in that case $1,000,000 to the winner for a $250 entry.

The three kinds of online poker series behave differently on the ledger. A festival produces a burst of results and then a series release with totals; a weekly produces one result every seven days and never closes; a special produces one result and a lot of entries. The status column keeps them apart.

Results and guarantees, side by side

Where a room published what it paid, the board shows it; where it only published what it promised, the board shows the guarantee with "gtd" after it. The distinction matters more than it looks. PokerStars' WCOOP 2026 release gave a paid total of just over $49 million and a Main Event guarantee of $6.5 million, so both are known. 888poker's XL Autumn Series published event-by-event prize pools for its first 33 events (from $3,472 for a $8.80 Super KO to $100,000 for the Mystery Opening Event) and a $300,000 guarantee for the Mystery Main Event, but no paid total, so the board shows the guarantee. A series page that states a figure says which of the two it is.

A guarantee beaten by a wide margin is the usual story at the top of the market: the WCOOP $1,050 Main Event guaranteed $2,000,000 and drew 2,310 entries for more than $2.3 million, and the $5 Ocean KO Opener turned a $1,000,000 guarantee into $1,932,386. Overlays, where the guarantee is not reached, tend to happen in the High tiers of a crowded week; the ledger records the prize pool in those cases too, and the series notes say what the room covered.

Main events and player of the series

Every festival ends with a main event, and the biggest rooms now run it in three tiers at once. The WCOOP 2026 Main Events were $109, $1,050 and $10,300 in NLHE and the same three prices in PLO; the six together paid more than $7.5 million. The series pages list every main event with its final table where one was published, and the leaderboard winner where the room runs one: the WCOOP 2026 Player of the Series was FAL1st, who also appears on the ledger in fifth place in the $530 Stud. A Player of the Series title is won on volume across the whole schedule, so the desk records the prize and not the finishes behind it. One open question the desk could not settle from the published material is the WCOOP start date; the release gives the closing date, October 8, and the Main Event launch, September 26, but not the first day of the schedule.

Questions about the series board

Which online poker series pays the most?

By published totals, PokerStars’ WCOOP: the 2026 edition paid just over $49 million across 350 tournaments, with the six Main Events alone worth more than $7.5 million. GGPoker’s WSOP Online did not publish a series total in the sources on file, but its $5,300 Main Event paid $3,931,259 to the winner, the largest single first prize on the ledger.

When is the next major online poker series?

The board lists what is scheduled from the rooms’ own announcements. As of the last update, WPT Global’s satellites to the WPT World Championship run every Sunday until November 29, 2026, and the weekly majors (GGMillion$, CoinMillion, Sunday Grand) continue without a break. New series are added when a room publishes a schedule.

What is a Main Event guarantee?

The minimum prize pool the room promises for the series’ headline tournament, paid out even if entries fall short. WCOOP 2026 guaranteed $6.5 million across its Main Events and beat it; 888poker’s XL Autumn Mystery Main Event guaranteed $300,000. A guarantee that is not reached produces an overlay, which the room pays from its own pocket.

What does Player of the Series mean?

A leaderboard that scores finishes across the whole series, with its own prize pool. FAL1st won the WCOOP 2026 leaderboard and its $20,000 top prize from a $100,000 pool.

Why are the weekly events listed as a series?

Because the rooms run them as standing tournaments with their own history: GGMillion$ has a $10,000 final every Tuesday, CoinMillion a $1,000,000 guarantee every weekend. Grouping each week’s result under the event name makes the run of winners readable in one place.

Why are some series results incomplete?

The series page shows the events for which a payout table was published. For 888poker’s XL Autumn Series, the source printed events #01 to #33 but not the two Main Events; the page says so rather than filling the gap.
