PokerStars: WCOOP, SCOOP and the Sunday Million on the results ledger

PokerStars profile: the three-tier WCOOP and SCOOP series, the weekly Sunday Million, how the room publishes results, and what changed for US players in 2026.

PokerStars is the room with the longest results trail on this site, and the reason is structural: its two championship series, WCOOP in the autumn and SCOOP in the spring, each run more than a hundred events in three buy-in tiers at once, and the room publishes a closing release with series totals. The 2026 WCOOP closed on October 8 at 121 events, 350 tournaments and just over $49 million paid; the six Main Events together paid more than $7.5 million.

The three-tier format

Almost every WCOOP and SCOOP event runs as Low, Medium and High at the same hour, typically $109, $1,050 and $10,300 for the Main Events, with the same number for each tier (WCOOP 108-L, 108-M, 108-H). The tiers behave like three different rooms. In 2026 the $109 Main drew 14,533 entries and paid $172,022 to first; the $1,050 drew 2,310 and paid $343,242; the $10,300 drew 289 and paid $551,632. The High tier is where the names are; the Low tier is where the field is; the Medium tier, in 2026, is where the biggest NLHE Main Event pool sat.

The PLO Main Events mirror the hold’em prices and draw a fraction of the field: 47 entries for the $10,300 PLO Main at WCOOP 2026, 76 for the $5,200 PLO Main at SCOOP.

What the room publishes, and how the ledger reads it

PokerStars reports winners by screen name, with a real name in quotes when the press knows the player, and a country for every finisher. The ledger keeps that format: Felipe “lipe piv” Boianovsky, Brazil; 13santoy13, Canada. Where a payout table in the source was internally inconsistent, as with Jorge “jorginho88” Abreu listed as Austria in the table and called Portuguese in the text, the record keeps the table and notes the text.

Series totals come from the room’s own release; event payouts mostly from PokerNews, which covers both series daily. The room’s own tournament lobby is the ultimate source and the SharkScope feed, when connected, supplies lobby entries and prize pools for events the press did not print in full.

The weekly schedule

The Sunday Million, $109 with $1,000,000 guaranteed, is the weekly benchmark field and has been for most of the room’s history. The desk records it when a payout table is published, which for a weekly event is less often than for a series final. Between series the ledger’s PokerStars rows thin out for that reason, not because the room goes quiet.

Players to watch on this room

Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser holds the WCOOP title record at 19 after winning three events in 2026, two of them in one night in September. Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi and Johannes “Jepser8” Straver each took four titles in the 2026 series. FAL1st won the Player of the Series leaderboard for $20,000. Boianovsky became the first player to hold both the SCOOP and WCOOP High Main Event titles, three years apart.

The United States

PokerStars ran standalone real-money platforms in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and in Ontario, until 2026. In March 2026 Flutter Entertainment announced those platforms would be discontinued, with the operations moving to FanDuel. The international site covered on this ledger has never served US players; the US results, where published, will be recorded under the operator that runs them.

Dates and gaps

The WCOOP 2026 closing release gives the end date and the Main Event start, September 26, but not the schedule’s first day; the series page carries that as an open item. The SCOOP 2026 page has the three NLHE and three PLO Main Events with full tables and no series totals, because the sources on file did not print them.
