Two hundred and two entries at $10,000, and a heads-up between a player chasing his second GGMillion$ title and one chasing his sixth. The weekend of October 31 to November 3 belongs to Vladimir Minko, whose $404,362 on Tuesday night is the only high roller result on this edition’s ledger and the second GGMillion$ final on file. The other published result comes from CoinPoker, where the CoinMillion drew its second-biggest field of the autumn and ended, as four of its nine editions now have, with the last two players agreeing a deal.

GGMillion$: Minko from third in chips

The GGMillion$ played its Day 1 on Sunday, November 1, and its nine-handed final on Tuesday, November 3, which is why the biggest result of the weekend carries a Tuesday date. The field of 202 was down from the 237 of the week before, and the first prize came down with it, from Fabiano Kovalski’s $464,794 to Minko’s $404,362. PokerNews did not print the prize pool, so that cell is blank on the record.

Minko began the final table third in chips behind Juan Dominguez and Artem Osmirko, and reached heads-up as the shorter stack, 52 big blinds to Dominguez’s 70. He won the first big pots of the match and finished it when his ace-three held against the Spaniard’s jack-ten. Dominguez took $311,806 for second and was denied what PokerNews calls a sixth GGMillion$ title; David Kaufmann of Austria, who led for most of a three-handed stretch that ran past seventy minutes, took $240,435 for third. The ninth-place money was $50,545, which put $353,817 on the table between the floor and the top.

The record lists Minko as Mexico, because that is the flag in the GGPoker lobby, and notes that the report calls him Russian. The full nine-handed payout is in the sidebar; the longer account is in the news story.

CoinMillion: the deal that the structure invites

CoinPoker’s $215 CoinMillion, the weekly $1,000,000 guaranteed event, drew 4,766 entries from 3,588 players over the weekend of November 1, up from 3,655 the week before and close to the 4,891 of October 18. CSCcardGREEN is the winner on the record, with $91,035; reveur took $87,821 for second. Both figures come from a heads-up deal against a billed first prize of $104,182, and Card Player, which reported the result on November 3, notes that both finalists were on their second bullet.

The record stops at second place because the report did. Card Player names ILOVEMILFs in eighth for $10,779, and nothing in between, so the table shows the two places that were published and the notes carry the eighth. That is the fourth CoinMillion of nine to end in a chop, and the arithmetic explains why: a $1,000,000 guarantee on a $215 event puts roughly $20,000 between first and second at the end, which most players would rather split than play for.

The same report has two other CoinPoker results without a payout table. TonyTheToenailcollector, who won The One in October and the Sunday Grand the week before this edition, took the room’s $5,200 High Roller for $93,940, his fourth title on the site in six weeks; UmtitisMcVities won the CoinMasters BITCOIN event for $68,400. Neither carries entries, a pool or a second place, so neither is a ledger record yet; they are here because the desk saw them.

What the week’s numbers show

Two consecutive GGMillion$ finals give the first week-on-week pair on the high roller ledger. Entries fell by 35 and the first prize by $60,432; the second prize fell from $358,405 to $311,806. Across the two weeks the same event has paid $869,156 to its two winners from 439 entries, which is the kind of figure the series page will keep adding to every Tuesday.

On CoinPoker the field moved the other way, up 1,111 entries on the week, and the winner’s money moved down, from habfer’s $114,480 without a deal to CSCcardGREEN’s $91,035 with one. A bigger field and a smaller first prize in the same event is what a chop looks like on a ledger, and the record marks the deal on both lines so the comparison with the undealt weeks is not read as a drop in the pool.

Missing from this edition

PokerStars ran Spooky Sunday Specials on November 1 in place of the Sunday Million, which returns on November 8 as a $109 PKO; no payout table for either Special is on file. The Sunday majors on partypoker, 888poker, ACR and the US regulated rooms ran as scheduled and left nothing the desk could cite. GGPoker’s PLO Series opened on November 1 with three $10,000 GGMillion$ PLO high rollers on its schedule; when a final table is published it will go on the ledger and this edition will be dated. The CoinPoker Sunday Grand of November 1 is unreported.

Played this weekend, no payout table on file

The regular Sunday majors below run every week. The desk adds a result only when the full final table has been published, so these stay on the watchlist until a payout table is found; they are listed so a reader can see what the ledger is missing rather than guess at it.
